Meet the Artist: Melissa Seager
"Art has always been my passion, though life led me down a different path—one that seemed fulfilling for others but never truly my own. It wasn’t until illness forced me to slow down that I rediscovered what had been missing. When I could barely get out of bed, art became my refuge. It gave me purpose when I felt powerless, helping me heal both physically and mentally. Now, for the first time, I’m embracing the true me—where I’ve always belonged."  - M.

 Her piece, titled "Transition", was created during a period of deep caregiving and personal reflection. The grey background reflects the uncertainty of that time, while the triangles symbolize confusion—directions taken, obstacles faced, and the feeling of circling back to the same place. Yet, within the chaos, growth was already taking root, waiting to emerge beyond the haze of uncertainty.
